Judge Michael Erwin of Baton Rouge; bigot

The state of Louisiana presented Michael R. Erwin with a law license in 1979 after he graduated from Southern University Law School.

It should be noted that Mikey has had his significant snout firmly implanted in the public trough for the past thirty-eight years (1979-2017). Apparently, no self-respecting law firm in the greater Baton Rouge area was about to offer Mikey a good paying job.

In one matter, it appears Mikey may well have decided to once again prove that he’s one of Louisiana’s Premier Judicial Bigots.

While dining at Sammy’s Grill on Highland Road in Baton Rouge, Mikey cemented his status as a Bigot by allegedly calling a female customer a “nigger” on at least two occasions.

Even if true, making such a racist slur is and has been an accepted “term of judicial endearment” for many decades in Lousiana when dealing with those (wink, wink) people.

If, and that’s a big question and when the apologists for Judicial Misfits and Bigots sitting on the Louisiana Supreme Court review Mikey’s conduct, it is highly unlikely that he’ll receive any punishment other than a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. December 2017) Mikey continues to sit as a District Court Judge in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
