The state of Virginia presented John Wayne Bevis with a law license in 1983 after he graduated from the University of Pittsburgh Law School.

The Virginia State Bar Disciplinary found Johnny guilty of the following misconduct.

• Engaged in a pattern of neglect in a divorce case
• Failed to communicate with his clients
• Neglected a real estate contract entrusted to him

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Virginia Bar Disciplinary Board punished Johnny by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.
