Judge Wilbur Hudson III of Phoenix, AZ; ethical gnome

The state of Arizona provided Wilbur Hudson III with a law license in 1989 after he graduated from the Arizona State University Law School.

The Arizona Commission on Judicial Conduct found Judge Hudson guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to follow the law
  • Engaged in illegal ex parte (one-sided) communications
  • Failed to ensure all parties right to be heard (due process)
  • Failed to perform judicial duties fairly and impartially
  • Assisted non-lawyer in the illegal practice of law

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Commission on Judicial Conduct punished Wilbur by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. February 2018), Wilbur remains sitting as Phoenix Municipal Court judge in Phoenix, Arizona.
