Attorney Shannon Jones of Memphis; convicted druggie

The state of Tennessee unfortunately presented Shannon Allen Jones with a law license in 1997 after he graduated from the University of Memphis Law School.

The Board of Professional Responsibility found Shannon guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Pled guilty in Federal Court to conspiracy to manufacture and possess with the intent to distribute a controlled substance
  • Sentenced to six-months in a federal prison
  • Violated or attempted to violate Rules of Conduct or knowingly assisted or induced another to do so, or did so through the acts of another
  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Tennessee Supreme Court punished Shannon by gifting him with a complimentary 3-year suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. October 2017), Shannon practices at 1490 Union Avenue in Memphis, Tennessee.
