Attorney Jacqueline Houlette of Houston; ethical gremlin

The state of Texas provided Jacqueline M. Houlette with a law license in 1993 after she graduated from the University of Houston Law School.

The District 12 Grievance Committee found Jackie guilty of the following misconduct.

• Commingled client funds with personal funds
• Failed to promptly deliver funds owing to third party
• Failed to fully cooperate with ethics investigators (Up yours, said Jackie!)

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the supporters for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Texas Supreme Court punished Jackie by gifting her with a complimentary stayed 18-month suspension of her law license.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the Texas Supreme Court didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Jackie.
