Attorney Jorge Cantu of Houston; ethical gnome

The state of Texas provided Jorge A. Cantu with a law license in 1988 after he graduated from the University of Houston Law School.

The District 12 Grievance Committee found Jorge guilty of the following misconduct.

In one matter, Jorge failed to notify immigration courts that a non-lawyer was using his name to engage in the illegal practice of law in connection with several immigration cases.

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the supporters for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Texas Supreme Court punished Jorge by gifting him with a complimentary 30-day suspension of her law license.

As we speak (ca. August 2018), Jorge practices at 3801 Barnett Street in Houston, Texas.
