Judge Jay Yellowhorse of Sanders, AZ; ethical gnome

The Arizona Commission on Judicial Conduct found Jay guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to disqualify himself from case involving family members
  • Engaged in illegal ex parte (one-sided) communications
  • Improperly made public statements about a pending matter
  • Failed to act in manner to promote public confidence in the judiciary
  • Abused prestige of judicial office for personal gain

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Arizona Supreme Court punished Jay by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. November 2017), Jay continues to sit as a Apache County Justice of the Peace in Sanders, Arizona.
