Judge Christine Carringer of Fairfield, CA; ethical gremlin

The state of Louisiana presented Christine Anne Carringer with a law license in 1987 after she graduated from the University of Pacific McGeorge Law School.

Gov. Jerry Brown was duped into appointing Christy to a seat as a Solano County Superior Court Judge First Circuit Court in 2013. Christy didn’t get the appointment because she was the most qualified lawyer in the greater Solano County area. She got it because she had proven to be a reliable lackey for the local political hacks.

In late July 2017, a group of women marched into the Solano County Hall of Justice Friday to serve a notice of recall to a family court judge they consider guilty of violating the Canons of the California Code of Judicial Ethics. (Dom Pruett)

A letter authored by Jaclyn Oirreh who led group of women stated:

“Judge Carringer recklessly rips children from nurturing, loving, and fit mothers, and gives them to documented abusers

The group of at least 10 women assert that Judge Carringer has ruled unfairly in cases involving custody battles and issues of domestic violence. Other women at the march said the following:

  • Children are victims of her.”
  • “She refused to follow the low.”
  • “It’s court licensed abuse.” (Amber Cargo-Reed)
  • “This is a real epidemic in Solano County where judges are disregarding important information that would keep our children safe.”

The women are working on a recall of Judge Carringer, who has 10 days from the filing to respond. The women will then be required to obtain 23,972 signatures to get the recall on the ballot.

Hopefully, these women will succeed in their recall effort. If not, then maybe they’ll succeed in persuading the voters to send Carringer packing if she attempts to be reelected.

As we speak (ca. October 2017), Carringer continues to sit as a Solano County Family Court judge in Fairfield, California.
