Attorney Kenneth Lackner of Ontario, CAN; ethical gnome

The Law Society of Upper Canada presented Kenneth David Lea Lackner with a law license in 1977 after he graduated from Dalhousie University Law School.

The Law Society found Kenny guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to maintain sufficient trust balances on deposit in his trust accounts
• Failed to maintain appropriately his books and records
• Continued to issue trust checks from and deposit money despite instructing Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce to freeze all activity in said account
• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Failed to keep client informed of status of matter
• Failed to account to client regarding funds held in trust
• Did legal work in a slipshod manner
• Failed to serve client in conscientious manner
• Failed to report to client in timely fashion
• Did work so belatedly that its value was lost

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Law Society punished Kenny by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.
