Attorney Donald Boyd of British Columbia; serial offender

The Law Society of British Columbia presented Donald A. Boyd with a law license in 1985 after he graduated from the University of British Columbia Law School.

The Law Society found Donnie guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Admitted to engaging in professional misconduct
  • Released mortgage funds w/o obtaining and registering a mortgage against his former wife's property as security, contrary to the bank's instructions
  • Failed to report to bank he had not secured its position by releasing the mortgage funds without first obtaining and registering a mortgage against the property of his former wife
  • Failed to advise bank he was withdrawing his services
  • Failed to inform bank he had disbursed mortgage proceeds

As one would suspect, this wasn’t Donnie’s First bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree. He previously disciplined on at least two occasions for engaging in a variety of misconduct.

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Law Society punished Donnie by gifting him with a complimentary $3,500 fine.

As we speak (ca. August 2017), Donnie practices with Boyd Jahani Barristers & Solicitors at 32 Avenue in Surrey, British Columbia, Canada.
