Attorney Gerhard Schauble of British Columbia; thief, repeater

 

The Law Society of British Columbia presented Gerhard E. Schauble with a law license in 1989 after he graduated from the University of British Columbia Law School.

 

The Law Society found Gerhard guilty of the following misconduct.

 

Gerhard’s 1st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Admitted to engaging in professional misconduct
  • Not entitled to retain fees from client files for himself rather than splitting them with his law firm
  • Knowingly and intentionally misappropriated law firm funds (thief)
  • Engaged in conduct involving fraud, dishonesty, deceit or misrepresentation
  • Absolutely knew he was not entitled to personally retain law firm funds
  • Refused to acknowledge wrongful nature of his conduct

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Law Society punished Gerhard by gifting him with a complimentary 3-month suspension of his law license and ordered to pay $32,000 to the Law Society for its costs.

 

Gerhard’s 2nd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Failed advise each client that involving real estate transaction that no information received from one of
  • them as part of the joint representation could be treated as confidential as between them
  • Purported to assist real estate clients as a mediator to resolve a conflict that had arisen between them without obtaining
  • the informed consent of one of the clients

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Law Society punished Gerhard by gifting him with a complimentary 4-month suspension of his law license and ordered to pay $10,000 to the Law Society for its costs.

 

As we speak (ca. October 2017), Gerhard practices at 3076 Lake View Cove Road in West Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada.
