Attorney Lu Chan of British Columbia; ethical goblin

The Law Society of British Columbia presented Lu Chan with a law license in 1993 after he graduated from the University of British Columbia Law School.

The Law Society found Lu guilty of the following misconduct.

• Breached the “no cash” rule
• Claimed to be unaware of obligations to guard against money laundering
• Breached Rule by accepting $40,000 in cash from foreign source

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Law Society punished Lu by gifting him with a complimentary $1,000 fine.

As we speak (ca. December 2017), Lu practices with the Lu Chan Law Corporation at 4710 Kingsway in Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada.
