Judge Ronald Duebbert of Belleville, IL; lying loser

The state of Illinois provided Ronald Duebbert with a law license in 1989 after he graduated from the University of Illinois Law School.

Ronnie’s misconduct involves the way he conducted himself in regard to the murder of Carl Z. Silas wherein he proved that he is unfit to sit on the bench.

In response to Ronnie’s deplorable conduct, Chief Judge Andrew Gleeson removed Ronnie from hearing any cases; however, during his time off the job, Ronnie will continue to collect a taxpayer funded annual salary of $194,000 ($3,700 per week).

In addition, Judge Gleeson and State’s Attorney Brendan Kelly have filed Judicial Inquiry Board complaints against Ronnie. Kelly has alleged that Ronni lied to police, talked to the press about a pending murder investigation and used a racial epithet during a jailhouse recorded conversation with a potential client. (Madison County Record)

Ronnie’s lie came about when he was questioned by police after the murder of Carl Z. Silas. David E. Fields, Ronnie’s former roommate, faces first-degree murder charges regarding the fatal shooting of Mr. Silas at a Belleville apartment complex.

While being questioned by police after the Silas murder, Ronnie told them he last communicated with Fields the night before the killing. However, a search of Ronnie’s phone revealed texts were sent from his cellphone to Fields’ cellphone nine (9) times during a 21/2-hour period.

All that remains now is to see what if any jail time Ronnie receives for obstruction of justice in lying to police investigators about his contacts with Mr. Fields. More than likely, Ronnie will cop a plea to lessen the time he may have to spend in the joint.

Moreover, only time will tell if the enablers for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Illinois Supreme Court will take any disciplinary action against Ronnie.

As we speak (ca. October 2017), Ronnie remains on paid vacation compliments of the taxpayers at a handsome hourly rate of $92.50 or $3,700 per week.

And lastly, who was the Comedian that said, “crime doesn’t pay?”
