Judge Bobby McCallister of Benton, AR; serial tax cheat, repeater

The state of Arkansas presented Bobby D. McAllister with a law license in 1991 after she graduated from Memphis State University Law School.

It should be noted that this isn’t Bobby’s First bite at the Judicial Misfit Apple Tree. He previously received a complimentary caution from the enablers for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Arkansas Supreme Court. The Committee on Professional found Bobby guilty of the following misconduct, all of which took place before he ascended to the bench as a Saline County Circuit Court judge.

• Charged with four felony counts of failing to pay or file state income taxes
• Failed to pay income taxes for nearly 20-years

Bobby faces up to 25-years in prison and a $40,000 fine if convicted of the four felony charges.

The Judicial Commission has asked the Supreme Court to temporarily suspend Bobby with pay until the criminal charges are fully prosecuted.  

McCallister faces up to six years in prison and a $10,000 fine on each of the felony charges against him.

As we speak (September 2017), Bobby continues to sit as a Saline County Circuit Court judge in Benton, Arkansas.
