Attorney Omar Rosales of Austin, TX; sleazy scammer

The state of Texas presented Omar W. Rosales with a law license in 2006 after he graduated from the University of Texas Law School.

In one matter, Omar has been prohibited from practicing before the U.S. District Court for the Western Division Western District Court of Texas over allegations that he engaged in the following misconduct as set forth by U.S. District Judge David Ezra.

• Engaged in unquestionably bad faith in at least six cases
• Altered an email to make it look like he had responded to opposing counsel’s email about setting dates for taking depositions
• Made inflammatory comments about the opposing lawyer
• Falsely stated that opposing counsel “treats Hispanics like servants and noble savages that need his superlative help and guidance”
• Filed sham criminal complaint of a “terroristic threat” against the opposing counsel
• Sought restraining order based on the opposing counsel’s alleged “erratic” stalking even though no evidence existed to prove this hyperbolic (BS) claim
• Engaged in conduct involving fraud dishonesty, deceit or misrepresentation
• Filed 385 lawsuits against small businesses for violations of the Americans with Disabilities Act
• Demanded $7,000 from each business and warned they’d spend at least $100,000 in litigation costs to defend his questionable lawsuits
• All 385 lawsuits were filed on behalf of the same person
• In late 2016, Omar was fined $176,000 for his behavior
