Attorney Jon Evenson of Madison, WI; batterer, convict, repeater

 

The state of Wisconsin presented Jon Evenson with a law license in 2001 after he graduated from Marquette University Law School.

 

The Office of Lawyer Registration (OLR) found Jon guilty of the following misconduct.

 

Jon’s 1st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Participated in two bar fights
  • In each bar fight punched a bar patron multiple times in the face, causing injuries
  • Fled the scene after each bar fight incident
  • Charged with two counts of Substantial Battery with Intent to Cause Bodily Harm, Class I Felonies
  • Pled no contest (guilty in effect) to two misdemeanor battery counts

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders of Attorney Misfits sitting on the Wisconsin Supreme Court punished Jon by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.  

 

Jon’s 2nd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Charged with delivery of controlled substance, a felony
  • Charged with two misdemeanors counts of 4th degree sexual assault
  • Approached 22-year-old girl and her friend as they were getting into a cab outside a bar on State Street in Madison
  • The 22-year-old agreed to leave with Jon despite the cab driver’s efforts to dissuade her
  • Jon then took the 22-year-oldto his law office where he provided her with ecstasy and booze
  • After providing her with her with ecstasy, John drove the girl to her home where they had more alcohol and engaged in sexual intercourse
  • The next day the girl woke up bruised, unsure where she was, and had difficulty recalling what had happened. She notified the police
  • Pled guilty to one count of delivery of a schedule I drug, a (Class H Felony), and two counts of fourth degree sexual assault, Class A Misdemeanors

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders of Attorney Misfits sitting on the Wisconsin Supreme Court punished Jon by gifting him with a complimentary 30-month suspension of his law license.

 

As we speak (ca. August 2017) Jon practices at 7818 Starr Grass Drive in Madison, Wisconsin.
