Attorney Alan Fraade of New York City; ethical dwarf

The state of New York presented Alan Peter Fraade with a law license in 1976 after he graduated from New York Law School.

In one matter, Southern District Magistrate Judge Barbara Moses ruled that Alan may well fact sanctions failing to produce documents related to the whereabouts of his corporate client after nearly a year of "remarkably uninformative" and "implausible" discovery responses. (Jason Grant, New York Law Journal)

As it related to Alan’s conduct, Judge Moses stated in her ruling:

  • Discovery responses were remarkably uninformative and in a number of respects, implausible
  • Alan claimed, “not to possess a single responsive document beyond a one-page certificate previously submitted”

Judge Moses ordered Alan to produce a host of documents and has left open the distinct possibility that she will impose monetary sanction against him for his frivolous conduct in responding to the discovery requests of the plaintiffs.

As we speak (August 2017), Alan practices with The Mintz Fraade Law Firm PC at 271 Madison Avenue in New York, New York.
