The Law Society of Upper Canada presented Richard Stanwick with a law license in 1977 after he graduated from Dalhousie University Law School.

The Law Society found Dick guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to provide written response to Law Society 
• Misled a client [lied]
• Failed to produce books and records of his practice to ethics investigators 

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Law Society punished Dick by gifting him with a complimentary 1-month suspension of his law license.

• Failed to fully cooperate with ethics investigators 
• Failed to reply in conscientious, diligent, and timely manner to his clients
• Engaged in professional misconduct 
• Failed to account for retainers paid to him by 5 clients
• Failed to follow a client’s instructions
• Failed to produce his books and records to the Law Society

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Law Society punished Dick by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.
