Judge Brenda Smith of San Marcos, TX; ethical gremlin

The state of Texas presented Brenda Smith with a law license in 1980 after she graduated from the University of Texas Law School.

In one matter, it has been alleged that Brenda spewed forth blatantly biased statements from the bench in favor of a party’s ex-wife. It is also alleged that Brenda issued custody/visitation rulings without reviewing any proofs or listening to the testimony of any witnesses.

It is further alleged that Brenda stripped the father of parenting time due to financial difficulties he was suffering from because of losing his driver’s license. In this instance, it is claimed that Brenda was smug in telling the father that a valid driver’s license in Texas equates with ability to a parent.

And lastly, it is alleged that after the father regained his driver’s license that Brenda refused to restore his parenting rights. It is also asserted that Brenda took an inordinate amount of time to rule in this case and that she generally operates with a condescending courtroom demeanor.

If the above allegations are true, Brenda should be bounced off the bench and if so she should be able to secure employment as a greeter at the Walmart Supercenter at 1015 Highway 80 in San Marcos.

As we speak (ca. July 2017), Brenda continues to sit as an Associate Hays County District Court judge in San Marcos, Texas.
