Judge Martha Simonett of Hastings, MN; alleged man hater

The state of Minnesota presented Martha M. Simonett with a law license in 1984 after she graduated from the William Mitchell College of Law.

In June 1996, former Gov. Arne Carlson was duped into appointing Martha as a Dakota County District Court judge. Martha didn’t receive the appointment because she was the most qualified attorney in the greater Hastings area. She received it because she had proven to be a reliable lackey for the local political hacks.

In one matter, a litigant has alleged that Martha displayed her utter ignorance and bias when she awarded a car to an ex-spouse even though the spouse did not possess a driver’s license.

This allegation standing alone raises serious questions as to whether any man can expect to be treated fairly when appearing in Martha’s so-call court of justice.

As we speak (ca. July 2017), Martha continues to sit as a Dakota County District Court judge in Hastings, Minnesota.
