Attorney Romeo Finder of Toronto, CAN; slacker, repeater

 

The Law Society of Upper Canada presented Romeo Finder with a law license in 1977 after he graduated from Dalhousie University Law School.

 

The Law Society found Romeo guilty of the following misconduct.

 

Romeo’s 1st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Engaged in a conflict of interest
  • Failed to serve clients in conscientious manner
  • Failed to advise clients of action filed against them
  • Failed to keep client informed of status of legal matter
  • Preferred interests of one client over two other clients
  • Falsely certified he explained documents to clients when he hadn’t

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Law Society punished Romeo by gifting him with a complimentary 1-month suspension of his law license.

 

Romeo’s 2nd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Failed to provide client with statement of claim within years of his being retained to commence an action on behalf of his client (victim)
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to communicate with client
  • Failed to tell client statement of claim had not been issued and served
  • Lied to client by telling him his claim was close to being settled
  • Failed to promptly respond to another lawyer’s communications
  • Failed to be honest and candid with client
  • Lied to client that his claims had been resolved
  • Failed to serve clients in conscientious manner

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Law Society punished Romeo by gifting him with a complimentary 2-month suspension of his law license.

 

As we speak (ca. August 2017), Romeo practices with Horwitz Finder at 101-45 St. Clair Avenue West in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
