Attorney Ronald Hunt of Newark, NJ; slacker, loser

The state of New Jersey presented Ronald Calvin Hunt with a law license in 1985 after he graduated from Rutgers University Law School.

The New Jersey Office of Attorney Ethics found Ronnie guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Engaged in gross neglect
  • Failed to communicate with client
  • Failed failure to explain a matter to the extent necessary for the client to make informed decisions about the representation
  • Engaged in concurrent conflict of interest
  • Failed to comply with mandatory recordkeeping rules
  • Failed to withdraw representation when required to so act
  • Failed to protect client interests upon termination
  • Made false statement to ethics investigators (Screw you, said Ronnie!)
  • Failed to take steps to assure fellow attorney abided by rules of conduct
  • Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the New Jersey Supreme Court punished Ronnie by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. July 2017) Ronnie practices with Hunt Hamlin & Ridley at 60 Park Place in Newark, New Jersey.
