Attorney Jeremiah Valdez of Alhambra, CA; check bouncer, repeater

The state of California provided Jeremiah Flores Valdez with a law license in 1995 after he graduated from the University of Philippines Law School.

The California State Bar found Jeremiah guilty of the following misconduct.

Jeremiah’s 1^st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

• Admitted to six (6) counts of misconduct
• Issued at least two checks against insufficient funds (rubber)
• Failed to maintain complete records of trust account activities
• Failed to properly supervise office staff
• Commingled client funds with personal funds

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the supporters for Attorney Misfits sitting on the State Bar Court punished Jeremiah by gifting him with a complimentary 30-day suspension of his law license

Jeremiah’s 2^nd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree 

• Admitted to six (6) counts of misconduct
• Engaged in illegal practice of law while license suspended
• Failed to supervise his employees
• Failed to comply with probation conditions re: prior discipline matter
• Wrote two checks for $8,000 against insufficient funds (rubber)

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the supporters for Attorney Misfits sitting on the State Bar Court punished Jeremiah by gifting him with a complimentary 60-day suspension of his law license

Because Attorney Misfits in California are held to a much lower standard of conduct then everyone else, Jeremiah was never criminally charged with writing bad checks.
