Attorney James Hunt of Traverse City, MI; tax cheat, repeater

 

The state of Michigan presented James M. Hunt with a law license in 1974 after he graduated from Case Western University Law School in Cleveland, Ohio.

 

The Tri-County Hearing Panel found Jimmy guilty of the following misconduct.

 

Jimmy’s 1st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tre

  • Failed to file answer to complaint on client’s behalf
  • Failed to file motion to set aside default judgment
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to advise client he wasn’t taking any action on his behalf
  • Violated or attempted to violate Rules of Conduct and/or knowingly assisted or induced another to do so
  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Michigan Supreme Court punished Jimmy by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

  • Convicted in Federal Court of failing to file income tax returns

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Michigan Supreme Court punished Jimmy by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

 

As we speak (ca. June 2016), Jimmy practices with Jim Hunt Law PLLC at 830 East Front Street in Traverse City, Michigan.
