The state of Michigan presented R. Timothy Kohler with a law license in 1974 after he graduated from Michigan State University Law School.

The Tri-County Hearing Panel found Timmy guilty of the following misconduct.

Timmy’s 1^st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

• Violated or attempted to violate Rules of Conduct and/or knowingly assisted or induced another to do so 
• Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
• Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Up yours, said Timmy!)

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Michigan Supreme Court punished Timmy by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

Timmy’s 2^nd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

• Neglected legal matter entrusted to him
• Failed to seek client’s lawful legal objectives
• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Failed to keep clients informed as to status of legal matter
• Failed to explain matter to extent necessary to permit client to make informed decisions regarding representation
• Failed to refund any unearned advance fee after termination (thief)
• Engaged in conduct exposing profession to contempt (What’s new?)
• Engaged in conduct contrary to justice, ethics, honesty or good morals

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Michigan Supreme Court punished Timmy by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.
