Attorney R. Reid Krinock of Brighton, MI; cheater, repeat offender

The state of Michigan presented R. Reid Krinock with a law license in 1984 after he graduated from Thomas M. Cooley Law School.

The Tri-County Hearing Panel found Reid guilty of the following misconduct.

Reid’s 1^st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

• Violated or attempted to violate Rules of Conduct and/or knowingly assisted or induced another to do so
• Failed to keep client informed of status of matter
• Failed to return client files after termination
• Failed to comply with client information requests
• Charged an excessive fee (cheater)
• Failed to refund unearned fees (thief)
• Engaged in conduct exposing legal profession to contempt (What’s new?)
• Engaged in conduct contrary to ethics, honesty or good morals

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Michigan Supreme Court punished Reid by gifting him with a complimentary 30-day suspension of his law license.

Reid’s 2^nd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

• Commingled client funds with personal funds
• Failed to fully cooperate with ethics investigators (Up yours, said Reid!)
• Violated or attempted to violate Rules of Conduct and/or knowingly assisted or induced another to do so 

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Michigan Supreme Court punished Reid by gifting him with a complimentary 90-day suspension of his law license.
