Attorney Kenneth Scott of Flint, MI; check bouncer, repeat offender

The state of Michigan presented Kenneth M. Scott with a law license in 1981 after he graduated from the University of Detroit Law School.

The Tri-County Hearing Panel found Kenny guilty of the following misconduct.

Kenny’s 1^st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

• Oversaw the preparation end filing of false documents with Probate Court
• Misused office trust account to conceal funds from attachment by IRS
• Misappropriated (stole) client funds
• Commingled client funds with personal funds
• Back-dated documents for filing with Probate Court
• Took advantage of unsophisticated and incompetent client by persuading him to sign false documents
• Wrote at least two checks on insufficient funds account (rubber)

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Michigan Supreme Court punished Terry by gifting him with a complimentary 3-year suspension of his law license.  

Because Attorney Misfits in Michigan are held to a much lower standard of conduct then everyone else, Kenny was never criminally charged with grand theft are writing bad checks.

Kenny’s 2^nd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

• Improperly held funds in office trust account
• Held funds in office trust account in excess of amount to pay bank fees/costs

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Michigan Supreme Court punished Terry by gifting him with a complimentary 179-day suspension of his law license.  

As we speak (ca. May 2016), Kenny practices with Kenneth M. Scott & Associates at G1173 North Ballenger Highway in Flint, Michigan.
