Attorney Beverly Crowden of Waco, TX; ethical elf

The state of Texas presented Beverly Ashley Crowden with a law license in 1980 after she graduated from Baylor University Law School.

The District 8-B Grievance Committee found Bev guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to keep client informed of status of matter
  • Failed to respond to client information requests
  • Failed to surrender client property to client upon termination
  • Failed to fully cooperate with ethics investigators (Up yours, said Bev!)

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Texas Supreme Court punished Bev by gifting her with a complimentary stayed 6-month suspension of her law license.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the Grievance Committee didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Bev.

As we speak (ca. May 2017), Bev practices with Terrell & Crowden PC in Waco, Texas.
