The state of Texas presented Scottie Allen with a law license in 1990 after he graduated from Texas Southern University Law School.

The 162nd District Court of Dallas found Scottie guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to properly supervise underling attorney
• Failed to report underlings misconduct to state bar

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Texas Supreme Court punished Scottie by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 12-month suspension of his law license.
