Attorney Joseph Brown of San Antonio; ethical gnome

The state of Texas presented Joseph Mitchell Brown with a law license in 1990 after he graduated from the University of Texas Law School.

The District 9-A Grievance Committee found Joey guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Neglected legal matter entrusted to him
  • Failed to advise client of status of legal matter
  • Failed to safeguard client funds
  • Failed to fully cooperate with ethics investigators (Up yours, said Joey!)

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Texas Supreme Court punished Joey by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 36month suspension of his law license.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the Grievance Committee didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Joey.

As we speak (ca. May 2017), Joey practices with JMB & Associates at 100 Mary D Avenue in San Antonio, Texas.
