Attorney Phillip Sanov of Houston; ethical dwarf

The state of Texas presented Phillip N. Sanov with a law license in 1990 after she graduated from the University of Texas Law School.

The District 14-C Grievance Committee found Phil guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Repeatedly failed to respond to notice to pay annual $350 State bar fee
  • Failed to fully cooperate with ethics investigators (Up yours, said Phil!)

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Texas Supreme Court punished Phil by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 5-year suspension of his law license.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the Grievance Committee didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Phil.

As we speak (ca. May 2017), Phil practices with the Merlin Law Group at 515 Post Oak Blvd in Houston, Texas.
