Attorney Herschel Cashin of Houston; ethical dwarf

The state of Texas presented Herschel P. Cashin with a law license in 1986 after he graduated from Texas Southern University Law School.

The District 4-I Grievance Committee found Herschel guilty of the following misconduct.

• Engaged in illegal practice of law while license suspended
• Failed to fully cooperate with ethics investigators (Up yours, said Herschel!)

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Texas Supreme Court punished Herschel by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 1-year suspension of his law license.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the Texas Supreme Court didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Herschel.
