Attorney Johnny Colley Jr. of Grand Prairie, TX; ethical leprechaun

The state of Texas presented Johnny Joe Colley Jr. with a law license in 1996 after he graduated from Texas Wesleyan University Law School.

The District 7-A Grievance Committee found Johnny guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to appear at hearing on client’s behalf
  • Neglected legal matter entrusted to him
  • Failed to comply with client information requests
  • Failed to appear at child support enforcement hearing
  • Failed to file necessary pleadings on behalf of client
  • Failed to communicate with client
  • Knowingly violated rules or assisted or induced another to do so, or did so through the acts of another, whether or not such violation occurred in the course of a client-lawyer relationship

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Texas Supreme Court punished Johnny by gifting him with a complimentary 6-month suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. April 2018), Herschel practices with the Law Office of Johnny Joe Colley, Jr. at 2210 Rock Creek Drive in Grand Prairie, Texas.
