Attorney Abel Cavada of Corpus Christi; repeat performer

The state of Texas presented Abel Cavada with a law license in 1978 after he graduated from the University of Houston Law School.

The 319th District Court of Nueces County found Abel guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to file motion for continuance in client matter thereby causing client to be arrested for failing to appear in court for schedule hearing
  • Neglected legal matter entrusted to him
  • Failed to communicate with client
  • Failed to keep client informed of status of legal matter

As one would suspect, this wasn’t Abel’s First bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree. He previously received a complimentary suspension of his law license for engaging in a variety of misconduct.

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Texas Supreme Court punished Abel by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. April 2018), Abel practices at 413 Waco Street in Corpus Christi, Texas.
