Attorney Prince Cartwright Jr. of Houston; repeat performer

The state of Texas presented Prince Cartwright Jr.  with a law license in 1977 after he graduated from Texas Southern University Law School.

The District 4-C Grievance Committee found Prince guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to advise client of receipt of settlement funds
  • Failed to maintain client funds in client trust account
  • Failed to reply to client request for accounting
  • Wrote check to client representing settlement funds on insufficient funds bank account (rubber)
  • Commingled client funds with personal funds

As one would suspect, this wasn’t Prince’s First bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree. He previously received a complimentary stayed suspension of his law license for engaging in a variety of misconduct.

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Texas Supreme Court punished Prince by gifting him with a complimentary 2-month suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. April 2018), Prince practices at 2208 Blodgett Street in Houston, Texas.
