Attorney Jack McLamb III of Smithfield, NC; ethical leprechaun

The state of North Carolina presented Jack E. McLamb III with a law license in 1996 after he graduated from Campbell University Law School.

The Grievance Committee of the North Carolina State Bar found Jackie guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Misconduct caused substantial harm to public’s confidence in integrity of criminal justice system
  • Engaged in a pattern of misconduct
  • Placed personal interests ahead of his client’s interests
  • Conduct had harmful impact on administration of justice
  • Misconduct involved multiple offenses
  • Convicted of three (3) counts of obstruction of justice
  • Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation
  • Filed sham dismissals of client’s criminal cases

As a direct consequence of his misconduct the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Grievance Committee of the North Carolina State Bar punished Jackie by gifting him with a complimentary 6-month suspension of his law license.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the Grievance Committee didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Stu.

As we speak (ca. October 2017), (ca. May 2017) Jackie practices with Spence Berkau & McLamb PA at 212 South Second Street in Smithfield, North Carolina.
