Attorney Steven Gilbert of Richmond, TX; scamming loser

The state of Texas presented Steven John Gilbert with a law license in 1975 after he graduated from the University of Houston Law School.

The District 4-F Grievance Committee found Stevie guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Employed and assisted suspended attorney to engage in illegal practice of law
  • Represented employee’s wife in a property matter with the knowledge that the property in question had been obtained fraudulently

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Texas Supreme Court punished Stevie by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 2-year suspension of his law license.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the Grievance Committee didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Stevie.

As we speak (ca. May 2017), Stevie practices with the Law Office of Steven J. Gilbert PC at 403 South Fifth Street in Richmond, Texas.
