Attorney Stewart Hoge of Dallas, TX; cheating loser

The state of Texas presented Stewart B. Hoge with a law license in 1979 after he graduated from Southern Methodist University (SMU) Law School.

The District 10-B Grievance Committee found Stu guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to respond to client request for accounting of $217,534 Stew received on client’s behalf regarding the sale of the client’s interest in an oil company
  • Failed to disburse funds in excess of $200,000 owing to client
  • Failed to provide client with mandatory written contingent fee agreement
  • Failed to hold disputed funds in trust account until dispute resolved
  • Retained $217,534 he was not lawfully entitled too (cheater)

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Texas Supreme Court punished Stu by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. May 2017), Stu practices with Hoge & Gameros LLP at 6116 North Central Expressway in Dallas, Texas.
