Attorney Jerry Bryan II of Austin, TX; ethical leprechaun

The state of Texas presented Jerry Lee Bryan II with a law license in 1969 after he graduated from the University of Houston Law School.

The 152nd District Court of Houston County found Jerry guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to fully cooperate with ethics investigators (Up yours, said Jerry!)
  • Engaged in conduct involving fraud, dishonesty, deceit or misrepresentation
  • Knowingly violated rules or assisted or induced another to do so, or did so through the acts of another, whether or not such violation occurred in the course of a client-lawyer relationship
  • Neglected legal matter entrusted to him

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Texas Supreme Court punished Jerry by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 3-year suspension of his law license.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the Grievance Committee didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Jerry.

As we speak (ca. January 2018), Jerry practices 11215 Research Blvd in Austin, Texas.
