Attorney Anita Anderson of San Antonio; ethical elf

The state of Texas presented Anita Jane Anderson with a law license in 1982 after he graduated from the University of Houston Law School.

The District 10-A Grievance Committee found Anita guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to respond to opposing counsel’s discovery requests
  • Failed to advise client of intent to file non-suit notice
  • Failed to engage in discovery on client’s behalf
  • Failed to advise client of consequences of filing non-suit notice
  • Neglected legal matter entrusted to her
  • Failed to keep client informed of status of legal matter
  • Failed to explain the matters to the extent necessary to permit his clients to make informed decisions regarding the representation

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Texas Supreme Court punished Anita by gifting her with a complimentary 6-month stayed suspension of her law license.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the Grievance Committee didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Anita.

As we speak (ca. March 2018), Anita practices at 2419 Cecil Avenue in Tyler, Texas.
