Attorney Randy Taub of Flower Mound, TX; ethical goblin

The state of Texas presented Randy Ford Taub with a law license in 1986 after he graduated from Emory University Law School.

The District 6-A Grievance Committee found Randy guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Accepted clients on behalf of his firm but concealed same from the firm
  • Accepted $50,000 from firm clients but then diverted said funds for his personal use
  • Engaged in conduct adversely reflecting on fitness to practice
  • Knowingly violated rules or assisted or induced another to do so, or did so through the acts of another, whether or not such violation occurred in the course of a client-lawyer relationship

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Texas Supreme Court punished Randy by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 5-year suspension of his law license.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the Grievance Committee didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Randy.

As we speak (ca. March 2018), Randy practices with the Law Office of R. Ford Taub at 4325 Windsor Centre Trail in Flower Mound, Texas.
