Attorney Tony Diaz of Austin, TX; ethical leprechaun

The state of Texas presented Tony Diaz with a law license in 1987 after she graduated from the University of Texas Law School.

The 10-C District Grievance Committee found Tony guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Accepted client malpractice case w/o telling him his law license suspended
  • Failed to obtain client consent for another lawyer to work on client’s case
  • Failed to explain the matters to the extent necessary to permit his clients to make informed decisions regarding the representation
  • Knowingly violated rules or assisted or induced another to do so, or did so through the acts of another

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Texas Supreme Court punished Tony by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As speak (ca. May 2018), Tony practices with The Diaz Firm PLLC at 401 Congress Avenue in Austin, Texas.
