Changing draft laws to avoid future wars

On September 16, 1940, the United States instituted the Selective Training and Service Act of 1940, which required all men between the ages of 21 and 45 to register for the draft. This was the first peacetime draft in United States' history

During the Vietnam War many, many well-heeled persons were able to avoid the draft by obtaining sham reports from doctors claiming they had some type of disability when in fact they didn’t. Others received numerous deferments for attending college.

Some high-profile draft dodging Chicken Littles and/or War Mongers amongst us are:

  • Dick “Big Dick” Cheney: five Vietnam era deferments
  • Donald “Trumporleone” Trump: five Vietnam era deferments
  • Rudy “Big Mouth” Giuliani: three Vietnam era deferments
  • Sen. Mitch McConnell: two Vietnam era deferments
  • Newt Gingrich: two Vietnam era deferments

New Draft Law

The new law should order that the first draftee or draftees must come from age eligible members of the family of the richest billionaire in the United States and continue with the other 1,050 or so billionaire families. This would include their sons and daughters and grandchildren.

After exhausting the list of draft eligible members of billionaire families, we can then start drafting eligible members of the approximately 10.4 million millionaire families. These two groups should be able to fulfill any requirements the military might have in prosecuting any future wars.

No longer should it be acceptable for the rich to stay home while they cheerfully send off the sons and daughters of middle class and/or lower income families to do the fighting and the dying.

How likely will War be with this New Draft Law?

I’m fairly certain that if the richest families in the U.S. of A. were forced to sacrifice their family members first in order to start a war with North Korea or Iran we’d never go to war. In fact, all diplomatic means would be utilized to assure that we’d never have to go to war unless we were attacked first.

If Donald “Trumporleone” Trump was really interested in “Making America Great Again,” especially for the middle and lower class he duped into voting for him, then one would think he’d jump at the chance to change the Draft Laws as set forth Above.

Come on Donnie, lets “Make America Great Again.”
