Attorney James Young of Teaneck, NJ; ethical goblin

The state of New Jersey presented James E. Young with a law license in 1976.

The New Jersey Office of Attorney Ethics found Jimmy guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to take any action on client’s workers’ compensation claim
  • Failed to appear at court-ordered hearings on behalf of client
  • Failed to advise client for several years his case had been dismissed
  • Gross negligence led to client’s case being dismissed with prejudice
  • Failed to file any pleadings on client’s behalf
  • Failed to respond to numerous client information requests

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the New Jersey Supreme Court punished Jimmy by gifting him with a complimentary admonition.

As we speak (ca. June 2017) Jimmy practices in Teaneck, New Jersey.
