Attorney Gerald Phillips of Avon Lake, OH; ethical dwarf

The state of Ohio presented Gerald Wayne Phillips a law license in 1977 after he graduated from Cleveland State University Law School.

Disciplinary Counsel found Gerry guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Knowingly disobeyed obligation owed to tribunal
  • Improperly filed pleadings/documents on behalf of various parties
  • Disqualified by trial judge in representing various parties
  • Engaged in conduct adversely reflecting on fitness to practice law
  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Ohio Supreme Court punished Gerry by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 6-month suspension of his law license.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the Ohio Supreme Court didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Gerry.

As we speak (ca. April 2017) Gerry practices with Phillips & Company LPA at 461 Windward Way in Avon Lake, Ohio.
