Attorney Judith Sanders-Castro of San Antonio, TX; scofflaw

The state of Texas presented Judith Sanders-Castro with a law license in 1980 after she graduated from St. Mary’s University Law School.

The Texas Ethics Commission found Judy guilty of the following misconduct, all of which took place during her candidacy for the Court of Appeals, Place 5 in the March 1, 2016 primary election.

• Failed to file the required personal financial statement (PFS) that was due by April 30, 2015 as a candidate for state office
• Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Up yours, said Judy!)

Subsequently, Judy acknowledged that she had failed to comply with the statutory filing requirements as set forth above.

As a direct consequence of her violations of campaign laws, the apologists for Public Official Misfits sitting the Ethics Commission punished Judy by imposing a complimentary $2,500 civil penalty.
