Attorney Marsha Halpern of Dallas; ethical gremlin

The state of Texas presented Marsha M. Halpern with a law license in 1979 after she graduated from St. Mary’s University Law School.

The District 6-A Grievance Committee found Marsha guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Allowed client case to be dismissed for want of prosecution
  • Failed to carry out obligation owed to client
  • Failed to advise client her case had been dismissed
  • Failed to respond to client information requests
  • Failed to fully cooperate with ethics investigators (Up yours, said Marsha!)
  • Neglected legal matter entrusted to her
  • Failed to keep client informed of status of legal matter

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Texas Supreme Court punished Marsha by gifting her with a complimentary 3-year suspension of her law license.

As we speak (ca. July 2017), Marsha practices at 3010 LBJ Freeway in Dallas, Texas.
