Attorney Marco Sapien of Houston; ethical dwarf

The state of Texas presented Marco Antonio Sapien with a law license in 1993 after he graduated from Texas Tech University Law School.

The District 4-G Grievance Committee found Marco guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to communicate with clients
• Negligence led to statute of limitations tolling on client claims
• Failed to keep client informed of status of legal matter
• Failed to explain the matters to the extent necessary to permit his clients to make informed decisions regarding the representation

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Texas Supreme Court punished Marco by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 2-year suspension of his law license.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the Texas Supreme Court didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Marco.
