Attorney David Herrman of Dallas; ethical leprechaun

The state of Texas presented David Herrman with a law license in 1991 after he graduated from the University of Texas Law School.

The District 7-A Grievance Committee found Dave guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to meet 90-day deadline in client worker’s compensation matter
  • Failed to communicate with client
  • Failed to keep client informed of status of legal matter
  • Engaged in conflict of interest
  • Allowed associates to violate rules of professional conduct
  • Neglected legal matter entrusted to him
  • Failed to explain the matters to the extent necessary to permit his clients to make informed decisions regarding the representation
  • Knowingly violated rules or assisted or induced another to do so, or did so through the acts of another, whether such violation occurred during a client-lawyer relationship

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Texas Supreme Court punished Dave by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. July 2017), Dave practices with The Herrman Law Firm at 5424 Richmond Avenue in Dallas, Texas.
