Attorney John Sutter of Houston; ethical dwarf

The state of Texas presented John Joseph Sutter with a law license in 1993 after he graduated from Creighton University Law School.

The 165th District Court of Harris County found Johnny guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to explain the matters to the extent necessary to permit his clients to make informed decisions regarding the representation
• Commingled client funds with personal funds

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Texas Supreme Court punished Johnny by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 2-year suspension of his law license.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the Texas Supreme Court didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Johnny.
